So your family can grieve and pray for you — not search through papers

Islamic Souls is run by Islamic Souls LLC, a Muslim-owned company in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. We help Sunni and Shia families put their affairs in order the way their faith asks, and remember the people who have returned to Allah.

Why we built it

When someone passes, the family is left with questions nobody wrote down: what was owed to Allah and to people, who should have what, where the papers are, the passwords to the accounts. In the middle of grief, families end up searching and sometimes arguing over what their loved one would have wanted. A wasiyya (will) written ahead of time, in your own words and by your own school, answers those questions and lets them grieve.

Every family is different, and some carry old hurts. That is why you decide everything here: who looks after your page, who may change it, who sees each letter, photo or password, and how long each person waits after your passing.

Our promises

• We never sell your information or show you advertising based on it.
• If Islamic Souls ever closes, we will email every member and family at least 90 days ahead and give them a download of their page — stories, photos, videos, letters and their will — so nothing is lost.
• We are not scholars. Your will follows your school and your marjaʿ as written in their published rulings; for anything you're unsure of, ask your own scholar. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any masjid, scholar or marjaʿ.
• We are not lawyers. We explain what states generally ask for; members who want a trust or a deed can ask a licensed attorney through us.
• No made-up reviews. If you see what members say, they said it.
