Terms of Service

Last updated October 3, 2026

Islamic Souls (islamicsouls.com) is operated by Dearborn 411 LLC, Dearborn, Michigan (“we”, “us”). By creating, managing, paying for or visiting a memorial you agree to these terms. Questions: info@islamicsouls.com.

1. What we provide

A web page in memory of a person who has passed away, with the details, story, photos and remembrance dates the family provides, a public counter for recitations of Al-Fatiha, and tools for the family to manage the page. Islamic Souls is a remembrance service. It is not a religious authority and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any masjid, scholar, marjaʿ or government body. Dates and religious guidance on the site are offered as reminders; please follow your own marjaʿ.

2. Who may create a page

You must be at least 18 and either a family member of the deceased or acting with the family's permission. You confirm that the person has passed away and that what you submit is true. Creating a page about a living person, or a false or mocking page, is not allowed and will be removed.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the words and photos you add. You give us permission to host and display them on the memorial page and in search (unless you choose a private link). Only add photos you have the right to share. Content must be respectful: no hateful, sexual, violent, defamatory or unlawful material, and nothing that exposes private information about living people. We may edit formatting, hide or remove content, or unpublish a page that breaks these rules or is reported and found to be false.

4. Prices and payment

  • Forever: $899, paid once. The page stays up for as long as Islamic Souls operates.
  • Monthly: a $199 setup fee paid at sign-up, then $41 per month starting one month after sign-up, charged automatically to the card on file until cancelled.
  • Edits: unlimited for 7 days after the page goes live; then one free 24-hour edit day per calendar month, started whenever you choose, or a 24-hour edit pass for $29.

Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are processed by Square; we never see or store full card numbers. Zelle payments for Forever pages are confirmed by hand, and the page is published once the payment is received. Prices may change for new purchases; we will not change the price of an existing monthly memorial without 30 days' notice by email.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a monthly memorial at any time from the Manage page. The full page stays open until the end of the month already paid for. Setup fees, Forever payments and edit passes are non-refundable once the page has been published, except where required by law. If something has gone wrong, write to us — we will always try to make it right.

6. If monthly payments stop

If a monthly payment fails or is cancelled, the page is paused: the person's name, dates and main photo stay visible, and the rest of the page is hidden until it is reactivated. Anyone may reactivate a paused page by starting a new $41 monthly payment. The person who reactivates is recorded as the page's supporter; control of the page stays with its keepers unless they choose to share or hand it over.

7. Keepers and control

The person who creates a page becomes its first manager. Managers can add, remove and change keepers, change visibility and cancel payments; editors can edit content. Every page must keep at least one manager. In a dispute between keepers, we may review the situation and decide who manages the page, taking into account who created and paid for it and the wishes of the immediate family.

8. Pages prepared by the living

A living member may prepare their own page, which stays private while they live: Forever ($899 once) or $199 setup plus $19 per month starting one month after sign-up, with the same edit rules as other pages. They may name any number of successors, in order of control, and choose whether their will and page go public after their passing and whether the family may edit the page. They can change these choices at any time.

Anyone may search a name and see that the person has prepared a page, plus whatever the member chose to show. When a listed successor reports the member's passing, they must confirm who they are with a code sent to the email or phone the member listed. The member is then emailed (and texted, where possible) a link to cancel a mistaken report, and the page is released after the waiting period the member chose (from right away to three months). The successor then pays a $199 transfer fee to take over; monthly pages continue at $41 per month from one month after the transfer and can be switched to Forever at any time. Reports from people who aren't listed successors may be reviewed at our discretion. Items the member marks private are encrypted, and Islamic Souls staff cannot read them. An uploaded or template-made will is a copy kept for the family. It is not a legal will by itself, and Islamic Souls does not execute, validate or enforce wills.

9. Reports and removal

Anyone can report a page. We review reports and may unpublish a page while we look into it. Families can ask us to remove a page at any time.

10. Limits of our responsibility

We work hard to keep pages online and safe, but the service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. If Islamic Souls ever closes, we will give at least 60 days' notice and a way to download each page's content.

11. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will post the new date above; important changes will be emailed to managers. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
