Times for
Dearborn, Michigan

The whole month — a table you can print

Times are worked out from the sun's position for the place you choose, by the rules of the calculation you pick. Your masjid's timetable or your marjaʿ's office may differ by a few minutes — follow them. For Dearborn we use the sun times for Dearborn Heights, as the Dearborn masjid calendars do. Hijri dates are by calculation; the month can start a day earlier or later where the moon is sighted.

Snap the printed calendar from your masjid (or a screenshot) and we'll turn it into a clear table you can keep on your phone, share with family, or print. Free.

    Prayer times by city

How are these prayer times worked out?

From the sun's position over the place you choose, each day. Shia (Ja'fari): the common Dearborn timetable puts Fajr 75 minutes before sunrise, Imsak 15 minutes before Fajr, Dhuhr just after noon and Maghrib 15 minutes after sunset (when the eastern redness has gone); midnight is halfway from sunset to Fajr. The Qum (Leva) and Tehran methods use the sun's angle below the horizon. Sunni: ISNA, Muslim World League, Egyptian, Umm al-Qura and Karachi angles, with Asr by the Shafiʿi, Maliki and Hanbali shadow length or the Hanafi one. Follow your masjid or marjaʿ when their timetable differs by a few minutes.
